This release on the back of the huge success of the first release (of the same vintage aged 28 years and released in March 2013) was also distilled in 1984 and matured in bourbon casks, which sat in Bowmore's famed No.1 Vaults for 30 years and was bottled in 2014 at cask strength. A beautiful deep gold color with citrus and mint dark chocolate on the nose, the palate is made up of honey, hints of ginger and a finish of elegant fruits and spices with dark chocolate. Only 500 bottles were released.

The 2024 Limited Edition release is a Japanese-style pot still whisky, distilled in unique stainless steel pot stills under vacuum pressure using malted barley and locally sourced un-malted barley at the Hioki Distillery. The whisky is then slowly matured in a combination of new American white oak casks, ex-Bourbon barrels, and re-charred ex-shochu casks at the Kanosuke Distillery warehouse.
