Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Highland Park Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Located on the Orkney Islands off the far north coast of Scotland, Highland Park Distillery is one of the northernmost Distilleries in Scotland. Founded by Magnus Eunson, a butcher and church officer by day he was caught illegally distilling whisky on the site in 1798. In 1826, almost 30 years later, Highland Park was officially licensed to distill whisky.

While the name of the distillery may be confused to refer to the Scottish Highlands, the reference is to an area where the distillery was founded called 'High Park' and different from a "lower area" nearby.
