Ichiro's Malt Chichibu The Peated 2022 Single Malt Japanese Whisky

The Peated 2022 Edition from the Chichibu Distillery was released after a gap of four years. The previous release was bottled in 2018 for the 10th anniversary of Chichibu. Matured in ex-Bourbon barrels for between five and seven years, only 11,000 bottles were produced.

Colour : Pale gold Nose :  Peat Smoke and sweet custard notes to start with followed by some peach, apricot and orange Palate : Ripe fruit and stone fruit combined with some smoke at the back. Green fruits such as apple and a hint of salt and vanilla balances the peat.
