KANOSUKE is the new craft whisky vision of Yoshitsugu Komasa and his team. Yoshitsugu—founder and master blender—is the fourth generation of a family renowned for producing complex yet mellow spirits on Kyushu, the most southerly of Japan's four main islands.

As the official distributor of Kanosuke Whisky, we are proud to introduce this pioneering brand to whisky enthusiasts. Driven by a mission to lead the growing wave of Japanese Craft Whisky, Kanosuke applies 140 years of family expertise to the noblest of distilling arts—single malt whisky.

Named in honor of his grandfather, ‘Kanosuke,’ Yoshitsugu recognized whisky as “a global language” through which he could tell the next chapter of his family story beyond the coast of Kagoshima.

Nestled amongst the dunes of Japan’s longest sandy beach and bathed in glorious sunsets, KANOSUKE DISTILLERY combines traditional techniques with a modern vision to create whiskies as unique as the mellow land they call home. The warm, lush, tropical summers and cool ocean breezes of Fukiage Beach provide the perfect environment to quickly mature rich, deep, and full-flavored whisky.

Fukiage Beach, located at the doorstep of KANOSUKE DISTILLERY, is home to one of Japan’s three largest sand dunes. Its pristine white sands stretch 50 kilometers between Ichikikushikino, Hioki, and Minamisatsuma, making it the longest beach in Japan. Beneath those sands lies an abundant source of pristine subterranean water, purified by the minerals of the Shirasu Plateau, which further enhances the quality of Kanosuke’s whiskies.
