Yayoi Shochu Brewery, founded in 1922, is the oldest brewery in Amami Oshima. "Mankoi" refers to the act of beckoning and has the meaning of "inviting," "welcome," and "thousands of customers." While aging in an oak barrel, it removes miscellaneous flavors such as the astringency of wood, and has a strong "umami" in the rising aroma and sweetness of the mouth.
It is very enjoyable with ice or water.
